QAST - Queensland Association of School Tuckshops

About QAST

The Qld Association of School Tuckshops (QAST) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion and support of Queensland tuckshops and school communities in their endeavours to offer nutritious, hygenic and economically viable food services.

Our Members

The Queensland Association of School Tuckshops Inc. now has over 850 members representing canteens across the state. This means we offer support services to half of all primary school tuckshops and three quarters of those in high schools in Queensland. In larger schools with over 600 students, 90% of these tuckshops are members. Members are also from all corners of our state, with over half of all tuckshops outside South East Queensland benefiting for our services.

Typically, a school’s Tuckshop is joined as member to the Association and support is provided to anyone from your community in matters related to the canteen.

Funding and Sponsors

QAST receives a large portion of its funding from membership fees. In addition QAST receives assistance from Queensland Health and Education Queensland. QAST has a successful history of winning grants to carry out other special projects and research.
